Chef Jenn’s Tips
- Fresh chili powder will make all the difference in this recipe. I make my own chili powder – it’s got a great balance of flavors and has just the right amount of heat!
- Want it spicier? Add 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of chipotle powder or cayenne pepper to the recipe. Start with 1/2 a teaspoon and add more if desired. Alternatively, add a small can (4.5 ounces) of diced green chilis.
- Switch things up and make ground chicken chili, or try it with ground pork.
- Add 2 cups of diced zucchini or 1 cup of cauliflower rice at the same time as the green pepper to add more veggies to this turkey chili recipe.
- Top this keto chilli with all your favorite garnishes – see my suggestions below.
- Ketogenic chilli is even better the next day after the flavors have a chance to really develop.
- If you need chili beans, then try adding black soy beans as they’re bean-like but lower in carbs.

What To Do With Leftover Turkey Chili
Keto Turkey Chilli will keep in the fridge for several days. But, this keto chilli recipe also freezes like a dream.
My favorite way to freeze saucy and soupy recipes is by using Souper Cubes! These amazing freezer-safe cubes are perfect for freezing portions of all my favorite soups, stews, and other saucy meals. I freeze them then pop them out and put the rectangular frozen blocks into a zipper-top freezer bag. It makes storing them SOOOO much easier!
Where can you find these Soup Cubes? You can order them from Souper Cubes – how cool is this?

Thank you, Chef Jenn for another great tasting recipe. You never disappoint!!
I cut up and bake Mission low carb tortillas (baste with olive oil or butter and salt) to make low carb tortilla chips with which I use to scoop the turkey chili. It is so good!
Great idea! I bet that’s so tasty! Thanks for coming by to share that tip! ~Jenn
I don’t see the bell peppers listed in the ingredients. How much goes into this recipe? Thanks.
Oops, apologies! I’ve fixed the recipe to show 1/2 cup of diced green bell peppers. ~Jenn
I made the home made chili powder mix you suggested but could not figure out how much to add to the recipe? Halp!
Oh no! You must not have seen the recipe card at the bottom where it suggests using 3 tbsp of chili powder for the recipe. ~Jenn
I love this recipe and have made it several times – can you make it in a crockpot after browning the turkey?
For sure! I haven’t personally done it but it wouldn’t take more than a few hours on low. Ground turkey doesn’t need to cook all day like stew beef. Thanks for coming back to comment! ~Jenn
