Green Beans Almondine with Bacon

Ingredients

  • 1 pound green beans
  • 4 slices bacon
  • 2 tabelspoons butter
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds

Instructions

  • Cook the green beans in salted boiling water for about 8 minutes or until they are tender-crisp. Drain and set aside.
  • Meanwhile, cook the bacon in a small skillet. Remove all but 2 tabelspoons of the bacon fat. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in the hot pan.
  • Toss the bacon and butter with toasted almonds, and spoon this lusciousness over the top of the hot beans.
