Green Beans Almondine with Bacon
Tender-crisp beans are topped with a buttery, crunchy almond and bacon topping that's so good, you'll be asking for seconds!
Servings: 4 servings
- 1 pound green beans
- 4 slices bacon
- 2 tabelspoons butter
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds
Cook the green beans in salted boiling water for about 8 minutes or until they are tender-crisp. Drain and set aside.
Meanwhile, cook the bacon in a small skillet. Remove all but 2 tabelspoons of the bacon fat. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in the hot pan.
Toss the bacon and butter with toasted almonds, and spoon this lusciousness over the top of the hot beans.
