Sear the beef over high heat until browned on both sides.
Add the spices to the crockpot.
Add the broth, cider vinegar, and roast to the crockpot.
Cook on high until tender. About 4 hours.
Remove the meat and shred when cool enough to handle.
Reduce the sauce in a pan on the stove to concentrate flavors.
